Tis the Season

That's right folks tis the Season for all of your favorite and not so favorite Holiday Movies to be back in rotation. There are the ones that have you watch because the season will not feel complete with out it. The ones that you absolutely loathe. And then there are the ones that you don't really have an opinion about, but you just seem to watch because it comes on nonstop, and well it's actually quite difficult to avoid.

Here are some of my picks and thoughts...

Holiday Favorites:

Thanksgiving:

Planes, Trains, and Automobiles: I'll never forget the year I saw the original, uncensored version
Dutch: okay... so I did have a huge crush on then Ethan Randall (now Ethan Embry)

Christmas:

National Lampoons Christmas Vacation
: family tradition (warning clip is not censored)
Santa Clause: The Movie: I have a nice little blog I will post soon about this one
Santa Clause is Coming to Town, Rudolph the Red Nose Reindeer:Basically all the old claymation stuff
Christmas Story: you can't help but watch it... however, it must be done out of order... I know, I know. I'm sure there are tons of you that hate it...but I still love it and have to see it every year.
Home Alone 1: I'll never forget the first Christmas it was out on VHS...yes folks that was back before we were so dvd savvy... I'll never forget rewinding it a hundred times to hear Daniel Stern's impeccable scream (searched everywhere to find the sound clip)

Holiday Loathes:
Prancer: I will say openly that I hate this movie.... but my poor mother adores it
How the Grinch Stole Christmas: not really a fan of either... however, I will hum along to the song.
Miracle on 34th Street (the Original): I can't help but want to smack tha little girl.

Holiday Movies I'm on the fence about:
Charlie Brown Christmas: only watch it for the wicked awesome dance moves
One Magic Christmas: kinda...alright very depressing, but somehow I always end up watching it...Mom
It's a Wonderful Life: I finally watched the whole thing about 2 years ago

Well it's December 2nd, and I've already seen two off my list. I'm sure many more will come over the next month.

What are you fav.s, loathes, and ones you just seem to find yourself watching but for no apparent reason.
