Worst Halloween Costume Ever!

After reading the Juice's blog and noticing a funny comment from The Future, I was inspired to add a second blog for today (but don't forget to scroll down to my other blog for today because I would really like the input there.) Okay so the question for today is what was your worst Halloween costume as a child, and why did you choose it? (Please include pictures if you have them). Then we'll decide who wins. For example, you might think back to a time like this, and think "Man at the time I thought I was totally rad, but now that I look back at it, what was I thinking???"

I think mine has to be the year I dressed as Joey McIntyre from the New Kids on the Block (yes, I was then obsessed the original boy band). I dressed as a boy and curled my air up really tight and cut out the top of my hat so it could stick through as Joey Joe's always did. None of the older people (who I went trick-or-treating at their house) understood who I was. They just thought I dressed a guy. (I'll have to contact Mom and Pops for a picture). Yes, I look back now, having no clue what I was thinking.... but hey, at least I picked the one that ended up on Broadway!

Any Suggestions?

Okay, since we moved into our new apartment we have had no idea on what to put up on the walls... or should I say HUGE wall in our living room. We would really like to display art (a few peices actually), but we cannot decide on what to put up. To best describe the color scheme of our downstairs, I would say look at Van Gogh's Emperor Moth, but don't let that heavily influence your input because we are up for any ideas. So with that said, does anyone have any suggestions???

Six Feet Under

Well I just wrapped up my last day of a featured role I had on Six Feet Under. I really had an awesome time and got to work with some really wonderful people. I really enjoyed working with the director Dan Minahan and 1st AD Scottie Gissel. The crew was extremely kind and professional. This morning I met Freddy Rodriguez who was finishing up his scene as we were getting started. Also, like everyone else, he was very friendly. I think what I enjoyed the most (out of the getting to work the show a few days this week) was meeting some of the guest actors. I was particularly glad I got to meet a gentleman by the name of Jack Wallace who had so much knowledge to share. He has been in the business a long time and done everything from film to Broadway. I always enjoy listening to people's experiences, and Jack had quite a few to share. How often is it that you get to meet some who has worked with some of the greats like David Mamet?

Anyway, I realize how blessed I am to be in Hollywood, to have a husband and family who loves and supports me through ups and downs, and to have a God who can do remarkable things. I am excited and inspired for what this year will hold. I have been taking quite a few classes and informational workshops so I feel like that I am finally beginning to get an insight on the loop of the industry, and I also have a few leads on agents as well. Please keep me in your prayers as a lot of important discussions will need to be made.

Funky Cold Medina

Well Jonathan and I had had a lot of fun this weekend. Jonathan celebrated his 24th birthday, and I surprised him with a trip to Vegas! Neither one of us had ever been, and we had a great time. I woke him up Saturday morning, let him open his presents from friends and family, then I wheeled in two pre-packed bags. He had a confused look on his face.... thinking why did Shea put my present in luggage? But I informed him that within the next 3 hours we were due to board our plane!

We saw a few famous people at the Burbank airport, but to our surprise Tone Loc was boarding our plane. At first I looked at him, thinking...man he looks so familiar...then I heard his voice and I knew exactly who it was. Well... we were boarding a southwest plane, and we were some of the last people on the plane, so we entered the back of the plane for boarding. I was hoping that we could at least get a seat together (since on Southwest you are not assigned a number, it is first come first serve), and when we looked at the seats there was only one row in our site with 2 empty seats..... and... guess who was sitting at the window seat Tone Loc...so we decided to sit with him.

He played a gameboy pretty much the whole time, talked about some show he was doing in Vegas, and he was staying across the street from us. He at the Bellagio and us at the Aladdin. Pretty nice guy.

There is so much to do and see in Vegas.... we couldn't possibly have fit it all in a three day weekend. Some hi-lites of our trip were going up the Eiffel tower, being serenaded at the Venetian on a private gondola ride, visiting the old strip, and Jonathan going on one of the scariest rides I'd ever seen on top of the Stratosphere... I opted for a massage instead. We toured lots of the hotels and casinos, had our share of Lady Luck, and had a wonderful time just being together.

I am so thankful for my wonderful husband and look forward to celebrating many more years with him!
